The Journey
This is an education group. Do I hope you’ll find value in what I’m sharing and decide to join me on this journey? Of course. But I’m also sharing my journey because I think, in some ways, it may be paralleling your own, and thus, you may find value in what I say here.
I’ve been on this journey called life for 58 years. I’ve been on the Young Living journey for three years next month. Young Living is different from a lot of other network marketing or MLM companies. Sure, it has great products. Sure, it has a great compensation plan. There’s a terrific sense of family, but I know that comes in other companies as well.
The key for me is the commitment to quality and purpose. Every Young Living product is developed for a purpose. To remain compliant, we have to discuss the cosmetic value of topical oils or the system support value for internal oils.
We have to work for wellness, and that means we have to do our own research and decide for ourselves what oils to apply to our bodies or what oils to take internally (if we decide to take them internally at all). We have to decide if we want to replace commercial cleaning supplies in our home with plant-based products covered with the Seed to Seal program. What nutritional supplements will benefit us the most? We owe it to ourselves to know our bodies and our minds and what we’re subjecting them to.
As such, I will also share things I was surprised by or had trouble understanding at first. I’m still finding these things, but Young Living does things differently, and since I was surprised to learn certain things, I suspect you might be too, so I’ll periodically share my thoughts and feelings about those things.
For instance, I could not fathom why someone would pay to go on a harvest trip or why someone would pay to go on a trip to Nepal (for instance) to make bricks and rebuild a town devastated by an earthquake. Why would our leadership walk through fields and plant lavender? But our founder was happier on the tractor or in the laboratory than he was in the boardroom, and I love that he shared so much with so many before his passing earlier this year that his dream of having Young Living essential oils in every home in the world could continue toward fulfillment after he was gone.
Because our leadership values the fields, the farms, the process, and the commitment to quality, more people will reap the wellness benefits essential oils can provide. I’m proud to be part of that, and I’m happy to be learning the sometimes hard lessons about my personal wellness journey that I’m learning.
Stay tuned. I want the best wellness possible for you and your loved ones, too. I pray for you to learn some useful things here that you’ll find helpful along your journey.
