Perfume or Toilet Bowl Cleaner?
I’ve never been a fan of perfumes or makeup, so I never worried too much for myself about these things, but I know I have friends for whom this should be a strong concern. Maybe it could affect you?
I have, however, used feminine hygiene products, and it’s troubling to learn they have some of the same scary chemicals as weed killer. I guess glyphosate contributes to the extraordinary absorption? Well, I scanned for glyphosate earlier this year. That was not fun. Guess what else is highly absorbent? Yes. Disposable baby diapers. There are some amazing reusable diaper systems out there, people. Please investigate for the safety and health of your most precious ones.
As for the chemicals you douse yourself in each day, please make the time to learn more for your sake and those you love. After you check the chemicals on the labels of your favorite product, search using this terminology, “dangers of…” where … is the chemical you’re curious about.
There are many natural alternatives out there. Please seek them out.
From Tanya Hirsch:
“The ingredients in Chanel No. 5 are many of the same ingredients that are used in your toilet bowl cleaner.”
This last week it’s been unavoidable to not see the hype about a documentary on Netflix called STINK. It’s an eye-opening narration on what modern fragrances are doing to our health, our homes and our families.
When I heard them say: “Most fragrances don’t come from flower fields in France, they come from Chemical companies in New Jersey,” it made me sick to my stomach.
It got me right in the gut. The last 2 years we have started to transform our lives and our home into a more natural way of life. It really was because it was what felt right to do.
But now after I’ve had the blessing to be so much more involved in a natural way of life I’m becoming more aware of what I am putting in, on and around my body, and I know today it’s what we need to do. It’s time to take my health back!
As women we use at least 20 products a day. Men probably use a good 10 products a day.
Back to me again. If you want to learn some basic changes you can make; I’m happy to help.
